Research & Reports Feature Publication: Fall 2024 Enrollment Update - After the pandemic recovery period began in 2022-23, enrollment greatly improved at community and technical colleges (CTCs). Rates held steady at four-year institutions. Notably, enrollment of need-based aid recipients has drastically risen at CTCs. The volume of students receiving need-based aid now nearly matches those who don’t. Expanded financial aid via the Washington College Grant appears to be contributing to the increase in students receiving need-based aid. Differences by sectors and student groups are important to consider in the development of policy and practice. These enrollment changes highlight where programs may need to bolster outreach, student support, and completion efforts. |
