Career Connect Washington (CCW) is a network of business, labor, education, and community leaders. CCW creates work-based and academic programs for young people to prepare for college or a career. Working with private sector partners, CCW has helped create over 150 new Career Launch programs, which include registered apprenticeships. CCW also offers an online program directory.
The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) coordinates the state’s implementation of CCW. WSAC prepares regular performance updates for the Workforce Education Investment Accountability and Oversight Board (WEIAOB). WEIAOB recommends CCW’s funding and evaluates progress against its goals.
Washington Jobs Initiative
The Washington Jobs Initiative (WJI) helps Washington residents access industry-driven training. The initiative draws on CCW’s network of partnerships and programs. By 2025, WJI aims to educate and train at least 5,000 Washingtonians and place 3,150 in jobs with a living wage. WJI is supported by a $23.5 million Good Jobs Challenge grant.
