The 12th Year Campaign can help you with two important steps you need to take to go to college: applying for college and applying for financial aid. The first step is to file a FAFSA or WASFA financial aid application.
Join one of the events listed below to learn more and get help.
Please note: Most events are offered virtually.
Statewide events
For current high school seniors:
May 23: Class of 2024 Financial Aid Night – Taking the First Step to Financial Aid: Creating an FSA ID or WASFA Account
- 5:30–7:00 p.m.
- Register in Advance / Enlace para registrarse.
- Presentation with Q&A and support creating an FSA ID or WASFA account.
- Hosted on Zoom in English and Spanish.
May 29: 2024-25 FAFSA Walk-Through
- 5:30–7:00 p.m.
- Register in Advance / Enlace para registrarse.
- Step by step how to complete the FAFSA as a student or parent.
- Hosted on Zoom in English and Spanish.
For current high school juniors:

- Centralia College will host a 2024-25 FAFSA/WASFA workshop on May 22, which is open to all high school seniors and their families, as well as current CC students.
Seattle/King County
Seattle/King County
- Highline College hosts virtual, in-person, and hybrid Financial Aid Workshops and Information Sessions. These events are open to the community, as well as current Highline students.
- Seattle Colleges are offering financial aid nights. These events are limited to current and new Seattle Promise students only. Please RSVP.
Skagit & Whatcom Counties
Skagit & Whatcom Counties
- Skagit Valley College is hosting financial aid support workshops throughout May and June. These events are open to the community, as well as to current and future SVC students. Algunos ofrecen ayuda en español.

- Eastern Washington University is hosting FAFSA Friday events throughout April and May. These events are open to the community, as well as to current EWU students.

- Worksource Pierce County is offering regular FAFSA assistance drop-in sessions. Search "FAFSA" on the workshops tab for more events.

Yakima/Tri-Cities
Yakima/Tri-Cities
- Yakima Valley College (YVC) will host financial aid workshops at its Grandview and Yakima campuses to help students and their families complete the FAFSA or the WASFA. YVC staff will be available to help answer questions in both English and Spanish. These workshops are open to the community and free of charge.
