A search committee of Council members, working with an executive recruiter, developed a candidate pool and narrowed the field to three finalists to submit to the Governor. The Council held a special meeting by telephone conference call on March 19, and voted unanimously to submit the finalists’ names to the Governor.Letter to Governor.

Appointment of the executive director is a shared duty under RCW 28B.77.040, which states, in part:  “The executive director shall be appointed by the Governor from a list of three names submitted by the Council.”
