Wrestling Grant Program
The purpose of this grant program is to establish or maintain intercollegiate wrestling programs.
Passed in 2023, the “Charles Cate II Act” (SB 5687) establishes the postsecondary wresting grant program, setting aside funds that may be used for purposes including, but not limited to, support of one-time startup costs, equipment, and student scholarships.
WSAC provides grants to eligible public institutions, including community and technical colleges and baccalaureate institutions.
Wrestling Grant Program
- Grant funds have been awarded to five institutions: two community and technical colleges and three public baccalaureate institutions. Funds are available for use through June 30, 2025.
- Congratulations to our selected institutions: Big Bend Community College, The Evergreen State College, Grays Harbor College, Washington State University, and Western Washington University.
