Council to engage with community leaders, discuss postsecondary attainment on the Olympic Peninsula
October 30, 2023
Olympia—At its Nov. 6 meeting in Port Angeles, the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) will engage with the community around the unique challenges and opportunities of postsecondary educational attainment on the Olympic Peninsula. Panelists will explore pathways to careers in the region from the perspective of students, college staff and a local employer.
A second panel discussion will consider the prevalence of basic needs insecurity among college students and potential strategies to better support students. Also on the agenda is WSAC’s recent report on student attributes that predict enrollment and retention at Central Washington University.
The meeting will take place at Peninsula College on Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Formal public comment will begin at 1:55 p.m. A hybrid option is also available, with online registration required to attend via Zoom.
