Council to discuss 2024 Strategic Action Plan to increase postsecondary educational attainment and equity in Washington State

Olympia—At its June 13 meeting in Spokane, the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) will discuss its 2024 Strategic Action Plan to increase educational attainment. The council will review progress toward the statewide goal that 70% of Washington residents attain a postsecondary credential, with the defining priority to improve educational equity and success for students of color. The plan will inform WSAC’s work and priorities in the coming year.
Council members will also discuss opportunities to grow regional partnerships and continue learning how innovative regional approaches can contribute to increasing postsecondary enrollment. Members will also engage in a panel discussion with adult learners from the Spokane community.
The meeting will take place at Greater Spokane, Inc, on June 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Formal public comment will begin at 12:10 p.m. A hybrid option is also available, with online registration required to attend via Zoom.
