ADVISORY: February 7 COUNCIL MEETING

Council to discuss dual credit programs, approve additional regional challenge grant awardees

January 31, 2023

Olympia—At its Feb. 7 meeting, the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) will discuss opportunities to increase equity in postsecondary enrollment and success, including the potential impact of dual credit programs, which award high school and college credit simultaneously.

Council members will also review and discuss recommendations for approval of additional Regional Challenge Grant awardees. The grants seek to expand the number of community and regional partnerships—and support existing partnerships—that are focused on increasing postsecondary enrollment and closing equity gaps.

The meeting will take place at Capital Events Center in Tumwater on Feb. 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Formal public comment will begin at 1:45 p.m. A hybrid option is also available, with online registration required to attend via Zoom.

Resources:
  • The public will have opportunities to comment during the meeting. Those who plan to attend virtually should register on Zoom prior.
  • All meeting materials will be available online on the day of the meeting.
  • Read the Washington Student Achievement Council's equity statement
