College Assistance Migrant Program

The Washington Supplemental Grant for College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) supports students from among the migrant and seasonal farmworker population. CAMP funding is paid to colleges to provide direct student services.

Most CAMP students are the first in their families to go to college, and many are the first in their families to complete high school. Federal CAMP funds are largely targeted to assist first-year students, with limited funds to assist returning students. State-funded services are meant to supplement services provided through the federal CAMP contract, or institutional dollars used for this population.

There are currently eight CAMP providers in the state:

  • Central Washington University
  • Columbia Basin College
  • Eastern Washington University
  • Heritage University
  • University of Washington
  • Washington State University
  • Wenatchee Valley College
  • Yakima Valley College
