The Unit Record provides comprehensive information about Washington students who receive need-based financial aid and the type and amount of assistance they receive.
The Washington Student Achievement Council collects and analyzes these data to better understand who is benefiting from financial aid programs and how well federal, state, institutional, and other aid sources are meeting student need. The Council uses this information to evaluate state financial aid programs, to support budget requests for state financial aid programs, and to improve service to students.
Every college and university that participates in the State Need Grant program is required to complete the Unit Record Report at the end of each fiscal year.
