You may now access the names of your College Bound Scholarship students via the HECB’s secure portal. Whether you use the list to track your sign-up numbers, to support your College Bound students academically, or to gather data to determine the FAFSA completion rate in your school or district, access to this information will make your task easier. OSPI’s Disclosure of Free and Reduced Price Information Agreement form may be used to authorize school personnel access to the list of free- and reduced-price lunch students. Once you have that list you can compare it to the list from HECB’s portal and focus you sign-up efforts on the remaining students.

Preparing students for college is as important as signing them up for the program. Using HECB’s secure portal, you can support and track your College Bound students. Share this Good! Better!! Best!!! To receive the Scholarship, College Bound students must first file the FAFSA www.fafsa.gov in their senior year-preferably as soon after January 1 as possible. The list from HECB’s portal allows you to track which of your students have filed the FAFSA so that you may encourage those who haven’t.
Access to the names of the College Bound students in your school and district allows you to monitor your progress throughout the year. Each year an increasing number of schools and districts sign up 90% or more of their eligible students – don’t be left behind, click on the instructions to find out how to see your numbers.
The first step seniors must complete in order to access the Scholarship is to file the FAFSA. One of the reports now available to you through HECB’s portal is a list of your College Bound students who have filed the FAFSA. This is will be crucial as you monitor and track FAFSA completion in your school or district.
